Oregon’s Willamette Valley is often called “America’s Burgundy”. Sitting on the same latitude as Burgundy, the volcanic soils and cooler climate here produce some of the world’s best pinot noir, along with splendid cooler clime white varietals. This program is a 5 day immersion into the wineries of the Willamette Valley, with a daylong excursion to Oregon’s dramatic coastline town of Cannon Beach and adjacent Oswald West State Park.

The Allison Resort & Spa in Newburg is the only five star resort hotel in the Willamette Valley. This beautiful property is situated on 35 acres, close to the premier wineries of the Dundee Hills AVA. Additional amenities include the elegant Jory Restaurant and an 800-label wine cellar. The magnificent Allison Spa offers wellness treatments, an indoor pool, a hot tub and yoga classes.

PROPOSED ITINERARY

Day 1 – Arrival Meet & Greet + transfers from Portland International Airport (PDX)
Welcome Cocktails & Dinner at the Jory Restaurant

Day 2 – 10am – Morning lecture and tasting “Wines of the Willamette Valley” with
local vintner Byron Dooley of Seven of Hearts Winery
Full day wineries tour visiting Torii Mor, Archery Summit and Domaine Drouhin
Lunch at Red Ridge Farms with Olive Oil tasting experience
Dinner at leisure

Day 3 – OPTIONAL TOURS TODAY:
Masters of Sparkling Wine Class at Argyle Tasting House
Willamette Valley Beverage Experience (local distillery and craft brewer)
Cooking School at The Kitchen at Middleground Farms (5 hour duration)
Kayaking at Champoeg State Park
Afternoon at leisure to enjoy Allison Resort & Spa
Fine Dining Dinner tonight at Domaine Serene

Day 4 – Full day wineries tour visiting Brooks Wine, lunch at Willamette Valley
Vineyards and the St. Innocent Winery. Finish the day with a Stroll in the Vines and
tasting at the beautiful Sokol Blosser Winery.
Dinner at leisure

Day 5 – Full Day excursion to the Oregon Coast, visiting Cannon Beach, Oswald West State Park
and surrounding attractions.
Return 5pm
Farewell “Oregon Foraging” Dinner at the Carlton Grain Elevator

Day 6 – Departure Transfers to Portland International Airport (PDX)
